Interested in Taking a Boating Course in Charlottetown This Winter?

Blue Heron Power & Sail Squadron* has been teaching boating courses in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island every winter for nearly half a century. Taking our courses is a great way to stay connected with boaters and the water during those long winter months.

Our courses are taught by unpaid volunteer instructors, and we are a non-profit organization committed to better boating.   We put on courses depending on interest and instructor availability.

Tell us what courses you would like to take:

Step 1. Look through the following list. Check off the courses you would like to take. If you are pre-registering for a specific course like Distress Signaling, then checking off that course below signals your intent to pay when the course begins (we have to preorder materials for some courses, like Distress Signaling ).

Step 2. Click "Submit Form" to email your responses to our Training Officer.

Course availability and pricing is subject to change.  By submitting this information over the Internet you are only telling the Squadron what courses you might register for, but you are not registering for those courses. The Squadron may not offer the courses if there are insufficient registrants, or if instructors are not available.  The Squadron may use this information to contact you regarding your comments or choices, but will not necessarily contact you to let you know that the courses are or are not being offered. The Squadron will not share this information with any other organization, business or agency, except as required by law.  Please watch for announcements on the website and attend the Registration evening.  You may also contact the Training Officer.
